About Me

My name is Kirsten Lesch and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New York and Florida. I graduated from Syracuse University, (Go Orange!)I have a master’s degree in Social Work, as well as a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I live with my family, horse, cats and dog in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Central New York.

Enough about me, you’re probably here because you’ve been struggling, and you feel like you’ve tried everything…

You’re here, because you need relief.

You’ve likely been scrolling through google, searching for someone you might connect with. You’re looking for someone who isn’t judgmental, who listens, someone you can be yourself with. Someone who is real, who gets it, who’s been there.

Well, I’m happy that you found me.

Finding the right therapist is the first step toward a better you. I know the search is daunting, especially when you are in crisis. I’ve created this website to make the search a little bit easier. It’s important that we get this right as research shows that the relationship between therapist and client is an important element for personal change and growth.

Take a look around, get a good sense of what I am about and what I can do for you. If I’ve missed anything, please feel free to reach out and schedule your free 10-minute consultation, I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions.

The therapeutic modalities I utilize to foster a sense of health and wellbeing include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Interpersonal Therapy, Family Systems, Mindfulness, Hypnosis, Gottman and EFT.

In addition to my office in Skaneateles, I offer online therapy for those in New York State and Florida. If you want to know more about this, look here. (link to online page)

How Does It Work?

Prior to your first appointment, you’ll receive a link to your own customized client portal.

There, you can complete all of your intake paperwork at your leisure from the comfort of your own home. There’s no need to arrive early to your first appointment, as I will already have had the chance to review your paperwork and learn about your unique situation.

The intake session is 1 hour, and we’ll use our time to make sure we’re the right fit.

We’ll talk a little bit about the challenges that have led you to therapy, as well as the goals that you’d like to achieve. I’ll ask a few questions about what you’ve tried so far, including what things have been helpful and what things have made you feel worse.

I also offer customary care coordination with any other professionals involved in your treatment, whether that’s your primary care physician, OB/GYN, acupuncturist, or anyone else who’s helping you. I like to take a holistic approach so that we can all focus on helping you feel better as soon as possible.

How Often Will We Need To Meet?

All of my clients start at a frequency of one session each week, and sessions are 50 minutes long. You may also opt to extend your sessions in 15-minute increments.

How long therapy lasts depends on your goals. Many of my clients choose to come weekly until they begin reaching their goals, at which point we taper sessions down to bi-weekly and then monthly for a short time.

My goal is to help you feel better and get on your way, so therapy does not have to be a long-term commitment. Schedule your free, 10-minute phone consultation and get started today.
